Wayne Yaffe

Tell us about your background: I have lived in Maryland the majority of my life. I studied Business and Finance at Towson University. Before working in real estate, I owned my own home building company.

What is your role? I am the Owner of Chesapeake Property Management, along with my wife, Linda. As the owner, I help empower our property management team to provide the best service possible. I’ll handle any problems that arise with our landlords that need to be addressed. I also maintain the financials for both teams at Chesapeake and Yaffe Real Estate.

What do you enjoy about your job the most? As the owner, I try to resolve any issues that come up as quickly as possible by putting myself in our landlords’ shoes and attempting to see the issue from their perspective. I’m a landlord too, so I understand what it is like owning a rental home. I also genuinely believe in good old fashioned service and creating meaningful relationships with our clients. I learned that from working with my father who owned the Beacon Pharmacy in the Odenton Shopping Center for a number of years. He taught me to listen to your customers’ needs and to always give them the best service possible.
